Prevent Finder From Opening At Startup

Prevent Finder From Opening At Startup is a question I’ve been getting a lot of lately. Whenever you start your Mac you get greeted with the Mac Finder window. Why does this keep happening? Not everyone wants this to be the first thing they see. Wouldn’t it be nice if Apple gave us an option to turn this off in a more fisher price kind of way? In this post I’m going to explain to you how to Prevent Finder From Opening At Startup. If you still have questions post in the comments below or send us a direct email here. Prevent Finder from opening at startup - Get support (954) 895-2555

  1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left of the screen.
  2. Click on System Preferences/ Users & Groups/Login Items.
  3. Put a check in the item you do not want to start up.
  4. Click the minus sign.
  5. Restart your computer.

That should do it. From now on you should no longer see Finder pop up on start ups.

Thanks for stopping by!
