Microsoft Office 365 Alternatives. In 2018, it appears not much has changed from last year for the already full featured office apps OpenOffice and LibreOffice. These two titles are the only real alternatives to Office 365. If you prefer to save $70/yr and don’t mind using something other than Microsoft Office 365, OpenOffice and LibreOffice are definitely worth a look. If your familiar with using Microsoft Office, you’ll have no problem making the transition to the new office apps. Both programs have the same layout as Office 365. Identical in the way they function. Neither of these apps will leave you short on office tools. Currently Microsoft Office 365 plus 1 TB of OneDrive can be had for $69.99 per year. That’s not bad. However, OpenOffice and LibreOffice are free. Or donate, they deserve it. These open source office suite alternatives are slowly becoming more attractive to the paying Microsoft Office customer and soon to be in the workplace everywhere. Businesses will eventually figure out how much money they could be saving by using a product that performs exactly the same as Microsoft Office but is free.
I am using Office 365. I love the 1 TB of online storage and they way all of your work is saved to the cloud as you work. If you need to create an invoice, document, presentation, email or print, I can. Microsoft Office 365, OpenOffice and LibreOffice work well together. Each program offers many file formats to “save as” for cross platform compatibility. If you have questions or need support click here.
